يرتمي الموج على الشّواطىء، ونار الحسرة بعد لم تنطفِ

 

The waves lap at the shores, and the fire of regret has not yet been extinguished.

 

لا تنازعني في رأيي وخيمتي، وأنت تحت المكيِّف والأسقفِ

 

 Don't dispute my opinion and my tent, while you are under the air conditioning and the ceiling.

 

طقس الخيمة هاطلٌ في الشّتاء، ولهيبٌ حارقٌ في الصّيفِ

 

The tent's weather is rainy in the winter, and blazing in the summer.

 

ملّوا جميعًا من تحجّر مبادئنا، وهم وهمٌ بقصور التّعجرفِ

 

They are all tired of the petrification of our principles, and they are an illusion in the palaces of arrogance.

 

نقاوم وليلنا مُسرفٌ، لكنّ فجرنا عند حضوره خير مُسرفِ

 

We resist, and our night is extravagant, but our dawn, when it arrives, is the best extravagant.
